There are no big or small tasks, all are of equal importance.

The Lakeland 50 (or half hundred) is a 50 mile hilly fun run that accompanies the Lakeland 100 as part of the Ultra Tour of the Lake district.

If you only do 1 (more) Ironman

If you only do one Ironman!

I did the Outlaw last year, it was my first, and to be my only, Iron Distance Triathlon.  With lots of good training advice from Alvin, Bryan, Daniel and Dani (Merseytri), it was the end of 18 Months of preparation.  During that time I cycled around Northern Ireland, ran my first Ultra, PB’d marathons, learned to swim, rode some sportifs, dropped 10kg and generally became fit, strong and focussed.  I was so happy with my 12:41 (against a target of 15) that I entered straight away for this year.

Excalibur Marathon 2013

Excalibur - Britain's toughest marathon.

Excalibur is described as Britain's toughest marathon.  Actually, that depends how you define tough.  (I'm not being funny here, I found it very very hard)

I entered this a while ago and it was postponed due to snow and rescheduled for 18th May.  I'm grateful for that as there is no way I would have dealt with 15' snow drifts.
